The Society of Southwestern Authors – Valley of the Sun chapter is dedicated to bringing together professional writers and those interested in writing. Each of SSA-VS’s monthly meetings is actually a writing class, each class covering a specialized topic, such as writing mainstream novels, memoirs, mysteries, romance, speculative fiction, fantasy, historical novels, magazine writing, screenplays, etc. Some of our instructors delve into the actual mechanics of writing, such as story structure, creating multi-faceted characters, plotting, and the challenges of writing a series.
